A native of Evanston, Illinois, Kevin Edward White was for some 22 years an attorney at Winston & Strawn, as a partner specializing in general commercial litigation and arbitration.

A graduate of Knox College, Galesburg IL, White attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison Law School, where he was very active in the campus Students for Life chapter. White was elected to the Lincoln Academy (Order of Lincoln) while attending Knox.

Since founding KEVIN EDWARD WHITE & ASSOCIATES, in 2003, White has continued to represent commercial litigation clients, in state and federal fora and in arbitration. Additionally, White now has an active First Amendment practice, focusing especially on First Amendment free exercise civil rights cases.

Among other things, and in this latter capacity, White successfully participated in the defense of the free exercise rights of two closely-held family-managed corporations, one Roman Catholic and the other Protestant, in both cases winning injunctions barring enforcement against them and their businesses of the so-called Obamacare contraception mandate. Having won those cases, Plaintiffs also were awarded their attorneys fees and costs against the Government.

For many years serving on the Board and as a practicing attorney with the Thomas More Society in Chicago, White also was instrumental in establishing the Society’s first and to-date only branch office, in Omaha, NE.

White also is a past member of the board of directors, Archbishop Quigley Prep High School, and of the Vocations Advisory Board of the Archdiocese of Chicago. He is Knight of Malta, American Association. White and his wife Geraldine live on the northwest side of Chicago, where they happily raised their six children.

Having attended its luncheons for many years and otherwise being involved with the activities of Catholic Citizens of Illinois, White joined CCI’s Board in 2012. In 2016 he was elected Vice-President of Catholic Citizens of Illinois and in 2021 its President.
