Kathleen Whalen Fitzgerald of Lake Forest is the author of “Good Sisters”. In an August 18, 2002 Chicago Tribune OP/ED, she expresses her desire to see women priests. “Was not Mary, the mother of God, the very first priest?” asks Fitzgerald. “She ate bread and drank wine and turned them into the body and blood of Jesus.”
In April, Cardinal George, the American Archbishops, and several Curial Cardinals signed a document agreeing to publicly rebuke dissenters from the Catholic Catechism. Does Fitzgerald qualify? It sure looks that way to us…
