2 Catholic schools to close in Chicago

The Archdiocese of Chicago announced Friday it would shutter two more Catholic schools. St. Priscilla on Chicago’s Northwest Side and St. Beatrice in Schiller Park (both of them preschool through eighth grade) will close in June. The buildings might reopen next fall as sites for “learning and evangelization,” archdiocesan schools Supt. Mary Paul McCaughey said. One of them, she later said, could resume on some level as a Catholic school.
