Unfortunately but not unexpectedly, House Bill 6205 was today passed by the House Human Services Committee. This means the bill is on the House floor and could come up for a vote as early as next week. We need to make sure our voice continues to be heard in Springfield. House Bill 6205 was amended in committee but serious problems remain. Most notably, the bill requires taxpayer funding of abortion, emergency contraception, and other fertility and sterilizations treatments. The bill also mandates school districts implement comprehensive sex education programs and provides broad immunity protections for those performing abortions.
