“The superintendents of six Illinois Catholic school systems have written a letter to the (left leaning) Chicago Tribune responding to the Tribune’s editorial comments that the state’s non-public school recognition program is “useless spending.” Last Thursday, the Chicago Tribune ran a story entitled, -Private school fears calmed,” subheaded with -State accrediting not necessary.- On Sunday, the Tribune wrote an editorial based on the article, suggesting that the recognition program should be continued on a user fee basis only.”
