‘Bring it on’: Pro-life hero says fight to expose Planned Parenthood far from over

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The fight to fully expose Planned Parenthood for its harvesting and sale of body parts from children aborted at its abortion facilities continues, Center for  Medical Progress (CMP) founder David Daleiden told attendees Thursday at the March for Life Conference, and the abortion giant’s leaders are afraid of the truth being revealed.
The results of CMP’s undercover videos, first released in the summer of 2015, continue to have an impact in the fight against abortion, Daleiden said.

This includes the findings of two major Congressional investigations and the ongoing Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation, along with full enforcement of the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) authorizing statutes to stop subsidizing Planned Parenthood with taxpayer funds, and HHS’s reevaluation of its fetal experimentation programs.

“All of these results show how the videos are continuing to have an impact and that impact is devastating to Planned Parenthood’s abortion business and the industry at-large,” he said at the event, one day prior to the Washington D.C. March for Life.

Daleiden revealed plans during his address for CMP to release a new special report next week with never before seen documentation and primary source information about Planned Parenthood’s practice of partial birth abortion that still persists over 12 years after the Supreme Court confirmed it was illegal.

“What Planned Parenthood is the most afraid of,” continued Daleiden, “is they’re afraid of the facts that are documented on these undercover videos, and they’re afraid of the facts that their own abortion providers admit and their own leadership admits about the humanity of our unborn brothers and sisters, and therefore, [they’re afraid that the videos will expose] the extreme injustice that they’re killing [children] through state-funded industrial scale abortion practice that Planned Parenthood represents.”

Planned Parenthood and its political allies are weaponizing the legal system and attacking the First Amendment with various lawsuits trying to silence him and his associates, Daleiden told the March for Life Conference, but he remains undaunted.

Three years ago Planned Parenthood filed suit in federal court against Daleiden, CMP and some of the group’s colleagues, in front of U.S. District Judge William Orrick, who is friendly to their cause, he recounted for the crowd.

The mainstream press asked him breathlessly at the time whether he would back down and admit defeat, he recalled.

“Three years ago this lawsuit was filed,” Daleiden said. “And I told them – bring it on.”
As CMP project lead, Daleiden and his colleagues spent some 30 months compiling undercover video and other documentation of Planned Parenthood executives negotiating the harvest and sale of aborted baby body parts.

Abortion industry rocked

The videos have rocked the abortion industry.

“CMP’s undercover journalism prompted two major Congressional investigations, one at the Senate Judiciary Committee and the other at the House Select Investigative Panel, which corroborated all the main allegations against Planned Parenthood and found even deeper ‘systematic violations’ of the law in Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts programs,” said Daleiden. “The committees made over a dozen criminal and regulatory referrals for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, some of the biggest Planned Parenthood affiliates in the country, and their business partners.”

Those entities remain under active investigation by the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice, continued Daleiden, and Planned Parenthood’s business partners, the Da Vinci companies, have already pleaded guilty in a $7.8 million settlement with a southern California district attorney.

And, Daleiden, added, “the D.A. credited CMP’s undercover reporting with prompting the successful prosecution.”

Daleiden and CMP have faced criminal charges and civil lawsuits from the abortion industry and its allies in response to the videos. Daleiden is currently appealing to the Supreme Court the gag order suppressing the further release of videos implicating Planned Parenthood upheld by the Ninth  Circuit Court of Appeals.

Today, Planned Parenthood is backing away from producing witnesses in its case against him, Daleiden said, adding that a two-week-long public preliminary hearing in State of California v. Daleiden will be held in San Francisco Superior Court from February 19 to March 4. “And I can promise you that next month when this all starts on February 19 the leaders and architects of Planned Parenthood’s abortion empire will either admit their criminality under oath or they will commit perjury trying to cover it up,” he stated.

One thing more than anything else became increasingly clear to him during the undercover work, he said, and that’s the abortionists know full well that they are dealing with human beings in aborting unborn children and selling their body parts.

“The abortion providers know better than anybody that our unborn brothers and sisters are human beings just like us with the same human equality the same dignity,” said Daleiden. “They’re only valuable to sell because their body parts are just like ours.”

“The abortion providers know better than anybody that our unborn brothers and sisters are human beings just like us with the same human equality the same dignity,” said Daleiden. “They’re only valuable to sell because their body parts are just like ours.”

“And it only bothers the providers and they’re only uncomfortable about these videos because of what they know to be true about the work that they do every day,” he said.
The gag order on CMP’s videos originating from the abortion industry-friendly judge Orrick shows that Planned Parenthood afraid, said Daleiden, because the videos will confirm that the abortion giant and its business partners are guilty.

But further, he concluded, the videos will highlight the need to change abortion law because they will show the very inhumanity of abortion.
“They will be even more vivid and honest documentation for the entire country and the entire American people,” said Daleiden, “that our abortion policy and abortion laws in our country must be changed to reflect and respect the human equality and human dignity of our unborn brothers and sisters.”

The first sworn deposition of a Planned Parenthood witness in the PPFA et al vs. CMP et al federal lawsuit is scheduled for January 29.

The March for Life Conference kicks off the events surrounding the annual March, with the March for Life taking place Friday. The 2019 March’s theme is: “Unique from Day One.”
