The American Society for the Defense of Traditional, Family and Property was established in 1974. They have led several high profile public demonstrations in Chicago addressing anti-Catholic bigotry, including the most recent blasphemous cartoons run by the READER which drew hundreds of protestors. CCI members and readers are encouraged to support TFP in their public defense of the Catholic faith.

“October 3, 2003 marks the eighth anniversary of the death of the great Catholic thinker and TFP founder, Prof. Plinio Corr-a de Oliveira…. While his tireless efforts to establish -all things in Christ- gained him the reverence and love of many, for others it provoked a scorn and abhorrence characteristic of true union with Jesus Christ. Thus, as a rock of scandal, his life embodied the lamentation of Our Lord, Who said, -If the world hate you, know ye that it hath hated me before you- (St. John 15:18).”
