    Bio

    Mary Anne Hackett Mary Anne Hackett is a graduate of the University of Tulsa, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has been actively involved as a volunteer in church and community affairs and in the Pro-Life Movement for 44 years.

    Mrs. Hackett served on the Board of Directors of Illinois Right to Life for 22 years and as President for 20 of those years. She served on the Lay Advisory Board of the Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

    Mrs. Hackett is Co-founder and President of Catholic Citizens of Illinois, and was a founding member and Chairman of the Board of the Coalition on Abortion/ Breast Cancer.

    She has participated in TV and Radio talk shows, including: The Oprah Winfrey Show, Talking with Aaron Freeman, Chicago Tonight with John Callaway and with Phil Ponce, City Desk, Weekend Edition, Newsmakers, and panelist on several WBEZ talk shows.

    Mrs. Hackett has participated in debates and panel discussions at Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism on abortion and at the University of Illinois Medical School on abortions at Cook County Hospital and RU 486. She was a regular commentator on the weekly radio program, “Lifetime.”
