While a state organization dedicated to studying charitable giving reported the public will be more receptive to making donations this year, local nonprofit organizations have not seen much evidence of an increase in giving. The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University reported earlier this month that in a survey of more than 200 charities and consultants, most are more optimistic about donations this holiday season.
