Joint Confession Advocated by Catholic Priest?

CCI NOTES: With so many opportunities out there to clear up misunderstandings about the Catholic faith, it is astounding to us that so many diocesan newspapers spend their time and ink creating more confusion. The latest flap is Father John Dietzen’s column suggesting “there is no liturgical or canonical rule that prohibits a couple from receiving this sacrament in one another’s presence” when it fact it is well established that confession is to be heard one at a time, and only one at a time.
