New Hope for Notre Dame

Below is a letter from William Dempsey, Chairman of the Sycamore Trust.

“Sycamore plays an enormously important role in promoting the Catholic character and mission of Notre Dame. It works to influence Notre Dame for the good and it is greatly needed at this time.”
Rev. Wilson D. Miscamble, C.S.C. (Former chair ND history department and author of For Notre Dame: Battling for the Heart and Soul of a University)

Dear Friend:
An encounter with Notre Dame can change your life. Not in a superficial way, but in a deep-seated, sustaining way, helping to guide you through life’s roughest storms – as it has for so many of us! It’s why we love the place so dearly and why we’re fighting so hard for an authentic Catholic renewal on campus.

Just a handful of alumni established Sycamore seven years ago. Today, more than 11,000 people subscribe to our bulletins, a network of supporters in the media helps enlarge our network and increase our influence by redistributing our bulletins to their readers, and alumni organizations modeled on Sycamore have been established at several other universities.
