Fatherhood, Lordship and Love

The Holy Spirit inspires the Christian especially to say two things. The first is to address God as “Father,” “Abba.” (Rom. 8:15) This opens the Lord’s Prayer, which could also be called the Christian’s Daily Prayer to Our Father. Sadly, the image of fatherhood, in its human reflection of the divine paternity (see Ephesians 3:14), has been diluted in our time. But it is critically important to not only Christian orthodoxy but also spiritual life to grasp Paul’s words here:
