Catholic Citizens to Feature Fr. Paul Sullins at the luncheon on June 12, 2020 [Cancelled by Gov. Pritzker’s Shut Down Orders]

The Catholic Citizens if Illinois luncheon on June 12, 2018 also has been cancelled due to Governor Pritzker’s shut-down order.

Rev. D. Paul Sullins, Ph.D. will be the speaker at the the June 12th luncheon.  Father Sullins is a Senior Research Associate of the Ruth Institute and Director of the Leo Institute for Catholic Social Research at the Catholic University of America, Washington DC.  He is a leader in the field of research on same-sex parenting and its implications for child development.   

He has done extensive research on homosexuality in the priesthood and is frequently a guest on TV in discussing the recent sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church.  He is the author of 4 books and over 100 journal articles, research reports, and essays on issues of family, faith and culture. His most recent book is The Conjugal Family: An Irreplaceable Resource for Society.

Formerly Episcopalian, Dr. Sullins is a married Catholic priest with an inter-racial family of three children, two adopted.  He earned a PhD at Catholic University and taught there from 1998 until his recent retirement.  He serves as Associate Pastor of the Church of St. Mark the Evangelist in Hyattsville, MD.
