Following graduation from Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame Law School, Madonna Muscarello practiced estate planning and family law for the Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin until the birth of the first of her four children. For the next two decades, she was blessed to be a full-time mother and homemaker. In the years since her last child left for college, she has served as a volunteer in the following capacities: catechist and parish adult education leader; English language literacy and citizenship tutor for the Dominican Literacy Center in Melrose Park; transcriber for the GK Chesterton Digital Library; substitute teacher; and Board member for a number of local elementary and secondary schools and Catholic organizations. Madonna was honored to join the Board of Catholic Citizens of Illinois in 2018. She has been married for forty-three years to her beloved husband Vincent, who likes to say that he saved her from life as a lady lawyer by marrying her. Their wonderful children have given them thirteen grandchildren – and counting.
