The United States was founded on Christian principles and values, largely because those who fought and died for our freedom were devout Christians who understood and deeply believed that God blesses those who honor Him. Against all odds, brave men and women won the war that secured our independence from England; a feat recognized then and now as a miracle. Their Christianity was expressed in every facet of their lives, and thus our Constitution, laws, and government were based on their biblical values.

The differences from our amazing beginning and what we witness today are tragically quite stark. We are witnessing a political complacency, where citizens no longer hold their elected officials accountable, and worse yet do not even bother to vote. That is likely because they are so far removed from the arena of politics, they have little knowledge of who or how to vote. That absence of political public awareness has caused crippling consequences to America, as our elected leaders today lack the dedication, brilliance and patriotism of former statesmen.

Examples of America’s decline and the resultant damage can be witnessed in many areas, perhaps most easily seen in the lack of our nation’s moral behavior. While that moral decline exists in many areas, it is most easily observed in the content of magazines, music, movies, advertisements, and television. Those sources give us a visual of how far we have regressed, as they push the boundaries of decency.

The media rarely provides examples of wholesome families, patriotism or Christian values. Instead our society is inundated with material that once would have been considered and labeled pornographic. Those of us who grew up in a generation that enacted decency laws and had examples of morality all around us, see the stark differences. Families sat in front of their upright Philco radio sets and listened to edifying shows like “The Great Gildersleeve” and “Amos ‘n’ Andy”, or reminisce of 1950 family sitcoms like “Ozzie and Harriet, and “The Lone Ranger”, all of which entertained, while providing positive moral values we wanted to emulate. What are media sources teaching and enforcing in our youth today?

Even advertisements have become inappropriate for minors, causing people to wonder if there are any standards at all. How many parents have cringed while driving a carload of kids to school, when a blatant advertisement intrudes and causes 8-year old Abbie to loudly ask “Mommy, what is Viagra”?

Erosion of laws based on biblical values

Corruption not only exists but has increased in many areas; arguably, the most disturbing of which is within our government. Our nation was created and thrived on our system of laws, based on biblical values. There was a time in our early history in which a person could not run for public office in some states, without being a “church attending Christian”, demonstrating the importance that an earlier generation placed on wanting representatives who truly represented their values. We once trusted our representatives to abide by their campaign promises, and at one time, they did so. We became complacent in that trust, which may be why we no longer hold elected officials accountable. However, today that is a luxury we no longer can afford, as we have seen how little those promises mean to some politicians once elected.

Due to a complacent public attitude, and officials no longer being held accountable by the public or press, our government has enacted outrageous laws, while ignoring effective established laws.

Examples abound, but the lack of enforcement of our immigration law has had profound negative impacts on our people. That lack of enforcement has allowed an unprecedented number of foreigners into America, at a high price to our citizens. Our southern border is so easily violated that is has become an invitation for people to enter America illegally, and yet rather than fix the problem, the current administration has exasperated the problem. Texas Sheriff Gary Painter described it as a porous, open border that Muslims, possibly terrorists, have been crossing, and which keeps local sheriffs on high alert.

Immigration laws and procedures are in place for the protection of our citizens and the health of our nation. We are a generous people, but we do not want immigrants to change the demographics and culture of our country. America has been so obliging to those here illegally, that some Hispanics have had the audacity to demand we give them citizenship, and many of our politicians are prepared to grant it.

America’s identity being compromised through accommodation with U.N. interference

It appears many immigrants to America are less than grateful for the opportunity to benefit from our land. For instance, Muslims have demanded we provide them welfare and food stamps that meet their Islamic standards, and have established an Islamic tribunal in Texas, acting as a court of law using Sharia law to decide guilt and punishment. Islam is not just a religion to Muslims, it encompasses every aspect of their lives, and thus many follow the exact culture they left, including abiding by strict Sharia law. Their religion forbids them from assimilating, which is a requirement for American citizenship and yet this administration allows them to become citizens, knowing their religion will prevent them from adapting to many of our laws and customs.

If the Center for Security Policy is correct, the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations has begun building the framework for a political party. According to reports, it would be the first political party in the U.S. to be openly connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Sources claim the party arose right after Sabri Samirah, a Jordanian Brotherhood member, was allowed into the U.S. by President Barack Obama in 2014 following an 11-year ban. Once in the country, he galvanized Muslims to form the party, which is now recognized as the UMMA, an offset of the United Muslim Americans Association (UMAA).

America is losing her former identity! Our culture, our laws, our Christian religion are being compromised by our government, and as they accommodate other country’s, religions, and cultures which at times is to our detriment. We must hold our officials accountable to enforce our established laws, because they enabled us to grow and prosper as a people.

There seems to be a link between our current administration’s growing affiliation with the United Nations, and the creeping disrespect for American laws. Have our leaders lost the vision of our forefathers, those who launched this nation into the greatness we have enjoyed. Are the voices of those here from other cultures drowning out our own? How has our close affiliation with the United Nations influenced the changes we see in America? Is that why we see United Nations Agenda 21 being enforced in our cities, and why we witness the growing use of terminology identifying us as “citizens of the World”: no longer citizens of the United States?

Is this the direction American citizens want to pursue? Are we losing the Christian America our forefathers fought and died to give us? Has our nation made too many compromises with the World? Is that why the following “changes” are happening within the Obama administration, with so little attention given it?

John Brennan, Obama’s choice for current head of the CIA converted to Islam while stationed in Saudi Arabia. He took his oath on a copy of the Constitution, not the Bible.
President Obama’s top advisor, Valerie Jarrett, was born in Iran where her parents still reside. Reports state she and President Obama have had ties to terrorist Bill Ayers.
Hillary Clinton’s top advisor, Huma Abedin, is a Muslim, whose mother and brother are reported to have involvement with the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Assistant Secretary for Policy Development for Homeland Security, Arif Aikhan, is a Muslim.
Mohammed Elibiary was a Homeland Security Advisor until it was discovered he was making anti-Christian, hate filled statements on Twitter, including talking about the inevitability of the return of an ISIS-style caliphate— tweets that were subsequently ised by ISIS supporters for recruiting purposes. After he was dismissed from his job, he continued to “tweet” disturbing messages; most recently one attacking Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, calling him a “bottom feeder”.
Obama’s advisor and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Salam al-Marayati, is a Muslim.
Obama’s Sharia Czar, Imam Mohamed Magid, , of the Islamic Society of North America, is a Muslim.
Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships, Eboo Patel, is a Muslim.
Congressman Keith Ellison a Muslim took his oath on a copy of the Qur’an
Congresswoman Michele Bachman was vilified and almost tarred and feathered by Democrats when she voiced her concern about Muslims having a strong influence within our government. Those who dare speak out against America losing their identify are often personally and viciously attacked by the media and liberals who muzzle them into silence.
And last but not least, our president Barack Hussein Obama, who has claimed to be a Christian, but many believe his ties to the Muslim faith from his father, and a strong exposure to Muslims from the time he was a boy growing up and schooled in Kenya, Africa have affected his decisions as president. Few doubt that his mother, an atheist, and the Communist grandparents who raised him, also impacted his thinking. Obama’s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, is a known Communist.

Considering all the above, tends to explain many of President Obama’s recent decisions. He seems to embrace Muslim leaders who consider themselves enemies of America, while distancing himself from our Judeo/Christian friends. It is no secret that Obama disdains Israeli leader Netanyahu, the one American ally in the middle east. The World was shocked that neither Obama or any American leader marched in solidarity with World leaders after the vicious Paris terrorist attack. Obama refuses to close or strongly enforce our southern border, even though we have been alerted to terrorists having infiltrated America through it. Obama finds reasons to avoid stopping the absolute genocide and ethnic cleansing being perpetrated on Christians all over Africa and the Middle East by those who believe their religion demands they kill infidels.

Future depends on today’s patriots, as in years past

If we are to retain the America of our forefathers, we all must become vigilant to protect her. How? We must realize religion and politics are no longer topics to avoid discussing. Instead, just the opposite. It has become critical to be informed and to share facts with others. We cannot be silenced by name calling or accusations of being racists. The Christian church historically prevented invaders from within or without from taking over our country, because they were aware of history and understand that history repeats itself. Just as our forefathers were alert and fought against all attempts and attacks from without or within, so must we!

The church must once again defend ourselves, just as the “Black Robed Regiment” fought for our freedom in the Revolutionary War. Christians everywhere, especially those in the pulpits, must alert others to be aware, become educated regarding candidates and their positions on important issues, and thus vote wisely. We must not be fooled by rhetoric, but instead be guided by facts.

For those patriots who understand the amazing gift of American exceptionalism, do not allow those changing America to have continued successes. Our wise forefathers warned future generations to diligently guard our Constitution and laws in order to keep them. Never before has that warning had more meaning.

As Thomas Paine wisely stated: “Those who expect to reap the blessing of freedom must undergo the fatigue of supporting it.”

We must not be the generation found guilty of losing the blessings given to us by God. We cannot deprive our children and grandchildren of the America which blessed us. We no longer can remain quiet or complacent; each of us who know these truths must enter the battle to perverse them.
