The Catholic Media Coalition recently sent letters to over 200 Catholic Bishops asking them to make public statements in defense of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, a disabled woman from Florida who is coherent and communicating, but requires a feeding tube. Her husband and “guardian” has obtained a court order to stop her tube feeding, which will effectively starve her to death and allow him to inherit hundreds of thousands of dollars in trust funds. Bishop Raymond Burke is to be applauded for his courage in refusing to stand idle while this barbaric event takes place.
