In a July 2003 letter to all parish pastors in the Archdiocese of Chicago announced that “a packet of resource materials on the revised General Instruction of the Roman Missal, is currently being prepared and is scheduled to be mailed to all parishes in the next month. This packet will contain numerous materials (a series of bulletin inserts and other resources) which we hope will prove helpful to you as your parish begins to prepare for the implementation of the revised norms on the first Sunday of Advent.”
